Weighted average effective interest rate and the maximum allowed effective interest rate on Consumer Loans
Under the Consumer Credit Law (OGM15/25), the maximum effective interest rate on consumer loans shall not exceed the weighted average effective interest rate on the total amount of all consumer loans recorded in the Credit Registry of the Central Bank by the end of a given quarter, increased by 100%.
The weighted average effective interest rate on the total amount of all consumer loans recorded in the Credit Registry is determined by the Central Bank at the end of each quarter and published on its website.
