Banknotes

Euro banknotes exist in seven different denominations: € 5, € 10, € 20, € 50, € 100, € 200 and € 500.

Euro banknotes show imaginary architectural motifs inspired by the theme “Ages and styles of Europe” designed by the Austrian designer, Mr Robert Kalina.

New banknotes were created by modernising the first issued series. They retained the aforesaid initial theme design as well as the prevailing colours of the first series of banknotes, but there are small differences due to improved safety features.

The redesign was performed by an independent banknote designer from Berlin, Mr Reinhold Gerstetter.
