Exhibition "New Montenegrin Jubilee Money"

On the occasion of celebrating the tenth anniversary of restoring of independence for Montenegro and the International Museum Day, the Central Bank of Montenegro Money Museum in cooperation with the Secondary Art School “Petar Lubarda” from Cetinje organized an exhibition entitled “New Montenegrin Jubilee Money”.

Students - participants in the prize competition for the best art work on the given topic presented forty art works in various techniques: painting, graphic, digital and sculpture. They creatively linked traditional and contemporary values, and according to already adopted standards in the design of metal coins, they presented the famous Montenegrin personalities and contemporaries who have incorporated their work into the historical and cultural map of Montenegro on the obverse, with state symbols and recognizable brands of modern Montenegro being presented on the reverse.

This year’s winners were Milan Medić (first prize of 300 Euro), Lazar Lekić (second prize of 200 Euro) and Vuk Šćepanović (third prize of 100 Euro).
