Governor Žugić expressed his gratitude to Ms. Eble for excellent cooperation, adding that through numerous technical assistance projects over the past years, the IMF has contributed to strengthening the internal capacities of the CBCG and improving domestic legislation in the area of banking operations.

At the meeting, Governor Žugić also informed the new IMF resident representative about the situation in Montenegro’s banking sector, which was assessed as stable and with positive trends.

Mr. Sosa expressed high expectations of constructive and thriving future cooperation between the IMF and the CBCG.
