Public call for the “Women on Boards Montenegro” programme second generation
28/11/2024
In cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the CBCG announced a public invitation for the second generation of participants of the “Women on Boards Montenegro” programme.
The “Women on Boards” programme aims to strengthen the women’s leadership potential in Montenegro and prepare the business environment for implementing the EU Directive on the gender balance in key economic decision-making positions, pursuant to which women should comprise at least 40% of the members of the board of directors and 33% of all director positions in large private and state enterprises.
The “Women on Boards Montenegro” programme provides a unique opportunity for private and public sector women participants to improve the knowledge and skills needed to engage in the most responsible management positions. Through intensive modules, the participants will work with reputable experts from Montenegro, the region, and Europe, who will help them develop key competencies for strategic decision-making and leadership. The training will cover topics such as building a personal brand, strategic management, ESG standards, financial knowledge for making strategic decisions and managing business transformations.
The programme is intended for female candidates with at least three years of experience in management positions in the private or state sector fluent in English and clearly expressed career ambitions to be engaged in boards of directors. Applications for participation are open until 12 December 2024, and programme participants will be selected through a selection by an independent international agency.
Through the programme, the participants will not only develop their professional skills but also get the opportunity to network with other female leaders from Montenegro and beyond. Moreover, the programme provides greater visibility in the business community and supports further career development.
Interested candidates who want to improve their capacities and be part of this prestigious initiative may apply to participate in the programme by completing the online form available on the CBCG website.
The first generation of participants who completed the programme in 2023 has already demonstrated a significant impact on their organisations and the wider business community. Their experiences witness of the programme’s transformative power that laid the foundations for advancing women leadership and gender equality in decision-making positions.
The CBCG took over the implementation of the “Women on Boards” project to strengthen financial inclusion and empower women in economic decision-making positions, thereby contributing to the inclusive and sustainable development of the Montenegrin economy.
