CBCG Awards the Montenegrin Team Participants in the International Economics Olympiad

Today, the CBCG hosted a reception for Montenegrin secondary school students who represented Montenegro at the recent International Economics Olympiad in Greece and their mentors.

At the competition that gathered over 200 participants from almost 50 countries worldwide, the Montenegrin team consisted of pupils with the best score in the state competition in economy, business and finance who thus qualified to participate in the Olympics. These were Lazar Mašanović, Bogdan Savićević, Dimitrije Pavlović (from School of Economics and Hospitality – Bar), and Lazar Mašanović and Feliks Koba (from Secondary mixed school “Danilo Kiš” Budva). Lazar Mašanović and Feliks Koba won special prizes in the Financial Literacy Game. In addition to the pupils, the team also included mentors Ivana Perović, a teacher from the School of Economics and Hospitality – Bar and Srđan Obradović, a coordinator in the Department for Research and Development of Qualifications from the Centre for Vocational Education.


“By participating and winning awards at this major international competition, you have received recognition for your hard work and commitment and successfully represented Montenegro”, said the CBCG Governor Radoje Žugić to today’s guests. “We sincerely congratulate you on the awards won and thank you for contributing to spreading financial knowledge and promoting financial literacy. With our symbolic awards, we motivate you to continue investing in your training,” added Žugić.


The CBCG is willing to support the preparations for the participation of Montenegrin teams in the following international competitions in economic knowledge by making its personnel available and through the transfer of knowledge.


Mentors Ivana Perović and Srđan Obradović thanked the CBCG for the recognition of their efforts and the awards for the results achieved.
