Global Money Week begins

Global Money Week under the slogan „Take Part. Save Smart!“ will take place from 14 to 20 March 2016. The goal of the Global Money Week is the strengthening of global economic and financial literacy, as well as expanding financial knowledge and skills.  

As a socially responsible institution, the CBCG will continue its long-standing practice of carrying out numerous activities, which will include a large number of children and youths.


On Monday, 14 March, students from the Secondary VET school ”Sergije Stanić” will pay a visit to the CBCG where they will attend lectures on the central banking and recognizing counterfeit money. 


On Tuesday, 15 March, the CBCG representatives will pay a visit to the kindergarten “Leptirić” – JPU “Đina Vrbica”, where they will introduce the world of money to children through play.


On Wednesday, 16 March, the CBCG representatives will pay a visit to the Secondary School of Economy “Mirko Vesovic”, where they will give lecture to the future economists on banking products and services.


The following day, 17 March, the CBCG representatives are set to hold a workshop titled “Introduction to the World of Money” for the lower-grade elementary-school pupils in Bijelo Polje, Berane, Budva, Bar. At the same time, the secondary-school students in these cities will have the opportunity to learn how to identify counterfeit bank notes.


On Friday, 18 March, the CBCG representatives will visit the Day Care Centre for Children with Disabilities in Nikšić, where they will, through interactive play, introduce the protégés to the world of money, finance and saving. 


Through such educational and socially responsible engagement, the Central Bank of Montenegro, as a forbearer of the ideas and the vision of financial literacy, enables the Montenegrin children and youth to become a part of this global event that gathers over a million participants.
