“10 Years of the CBCG Money Museum” Exhibition Opening

The exhibition “Ten years of CBCG Money Museum” was opened today at Money Museum of the Central Bank of Montenegro in Cetinje.


At the exhibition organised in cooperation with the Central Bank of Montenegro and the High School of Fine Arts “Petar Lubarda” from Cetinje on the occasion of celebrating May 18, the International Museum Day, students presented their art works prepared for the thematic art competition. 


The authors of the three best works were awarded diplomas and cash prizes. The first prize in the amount of 300 euros was awarded to Polina Lazarenko, the second prize of 200 euros was given to Petar Mrdak, while the third prize in the amount of 100 euros was won by Emilija Antonova.


“At this year`s exhibition dedicated to the jubilee, students expressed themselves with graphics, paintings, drawings, sculptures-bas-reliefs and embroidery belonging to the domain of fine and applied arts, which they successfully enhanced with their imagination and technical skills”, as an art historian Ljiljana Zekovic noted, adding that “the exhibition animates the creative enthusiasm of young people who are educated to follow the principles of preserving and respecting the traditional cultural and historical heritage of Montenegro, thus preserving their identity roots and presenting a part of universal values.”


This is the ninth exhibition jointly organised by the Money Museum of the Central Bank of Montenegro and the HSFA “Petar Lubarda” on the occasion of recognising the International Museum Day. Therefore, the working hours of the Money Museum are extended today until 9 p.m.
